Western designs have always been part of the Studio vibe.  The landscapes and iconography of cowboys, horses and Americana have been an inspiration since Stephen created his Americana series in 2018. The petites feature icons, horses cacti and many other symbolism created with yarn, embroidery and appliqué. The pieces all start with up-cycled luxury boxes or shopping bags that are trimmed into the background shape, collaged and then embroidered. The embroidery is stitched directly through the actual box itself. Each petite features intricate embroidery stitches that truly make each one unique. The western icons are then added in relief on the background truly making a three dimensional piece.
